Call of Duty: Warzone Nuke Event, New Game Mode and Map On the Way in March 2021

Season 2 of Call Of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops are in full action and with the ongoing events it's likely that the Verdansk map for the warzone may see some major changes in the coming weeks. Recent Rumors and leaks suggest that a new map is along the way with a new and fresh game mode for Call Of Duty: Warzone with nuke event release on  March 11, 2021.

According to a video packed with dialogue, lines are alleged to make it to the game in the near future from reputed Call of Duty leaker ZestyCODLeaks, we might see a new "Plague Mode" related to the nuke event. Their findings suggest that players would try to defeat hordes of zombies as a threat of nuclear bomb zeroes in on Verdansk.

Considering that zombies have already made their way to the Warzone map, this isn’t too far-fetched. More so when you consider every looming trope of nuking an entire city to stop the impending undead apocalypse (thanks Resident Evil). In addition to this, the dialogues reference a sandbox area, safe zones, vehicles, and obstacle races.

Activision is yet to make announcements regarding this topic of new game mode and nuke events. But, things do lineup and look promising as reports match with another source, ModernWarzone that claims that March 11, 2021, is the Call Of Duty: Warzone nuke's event release date.

As reports from Video Games Chronicles suggest, Warzone might get some major changes this season with the nuke event on the way with a new map.

Warzone map Verdansk will apparently blow up in an in-game event, similar to what Fornite did in chapter 2. Players have already uncovered several nukes across Verdansk, which are expected to be triggered at the end of this season. After the event, the game could introduce a new 1980s themed map based on the Black Ops series. As Activision hasn’t confirmed    d this event, it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

It’s interesting to see Activision essentially take a page out of Fortnite what with Epic’s battle royale reinventing itself regularly. Considering the widespread appeal of the Warzone, it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
