Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are finally getting the official multiplayer support in 2021

Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are both getting official multiplayer support, and the experimental open beta for both is available now. Multiplayer comes in the form of the Convoy mode, which lets eight players drive together in the same world: AI traffic, time, and weather are all synchronized, and all eight players can be on the same job.

Both games already have mods that add multiplayer, but it's good news to have the functionality built into the game—albeit in a way that, so far, isn't quite as flexible as some community-built features.

Because it's an experimental open beta there are currently limitations. Mods aren't supported in multiplayer yet, and everyone needs to share the same DLC as the host. There are more things to be aware of, explained in detail here, but rest assured that you've got the option to revert back to a previous save game state when you exit multiplayer.

Instructions on how to enter the 1.41 Update Experimental Beta are over here. No word as yet on when the update will roll out of beta, but in the meantime SCS is after your feedback.

Possible GTA 6 leaked map shows slightly smaller Vice City in comparison to Los Santos

Rockstar Games is yet to announce a sequel to the now-inseparable GTA 5 but there’re discussions going on about what GTA 6 could bring to the table. Rumors have been long afloat of Grand Theft Auto 6 going back to Vice City after almost two decades, although in a modern and up-to-date version of the same. A recent tip now hints at the size and enormity of the game’s map.

A new map has emerged on the Internet that claims to represent GTA 6’s Vice City. An earlier version of the map has been circulated with minimum details but the new one comes with scale and more details. When compared to Los Santos, the map is only slightly smaller but has almost similar features including two islands.

GTA 6 VICE CITY MAP LEAKS

The map showcases large areas of green patches with a river that divides the map into two landmasses. There seems to be a large delta-like feature in the center that could give rise to several boat chases and interesting missions. There also appears to be an island district with its own beach ahead of a posh urban setup.

The map also has certain features such as airports, and military bases, thereby hinting at the presence of aircraft within the game. Of course, it remains to be seen as to whether GTA 6 brings back jet aircraft and fighter planes from GTA 5. The original GTA Vice City had no aircraft that players can interact with.

In a direct comparison with GTA 5’s Los Santos, the map appears slightly smaller. However, Rockstar Games has been known to work its wonders with maps and we expect the new Vice City to have opportunities to let players enjoy in the same fashion as GTA 5’s Los Santos.

A previous GTA 6 leak also hinted at the story’s protagonist bring a female character. GTA 5 offered a choice of three characters from the go, allowing players to choose between them randomly. The arrival of a female protagonist could shape up an exciting new era for the GTA franchise.

At the moment, Rockstar Games is minting profits from 2013’s GTA 5 and GTA Online. The game will be given a makeover for the current generation Xbox Series X and Sony PlayStation 5 consoles soon.

Battlegrounds Mobile India (aka PUBG Mobile India) : 5 confirmed details by Krafton in 2021

PUBG Mobile India latest update: This week was big for PUBG lovers out there. Krafton announced the coming of Battlegrounds Mobile India (previously PUBG Mobile India).

This week was big for PUBG lovers out there. The PUBG Mobile game developer Krafton announced the coming of Battlegrounds Mobile India (previously PUBG Mobile India). Krafton has also confirmed the pre-registration details for the game on Android. There are no details on pre-registration on iOS as of yet, however, we do expect the company to release more details about the game in the coming weeks.

Today, let’s take a quick look at what all Krafton has confirmed about Battlegrounds Mobile India so far.

Battlegrounds Mobile India: 5 confirmed details

-Krafton has confirmed that Battlegrounds Mobile India is coming to India very soon. The release date hasn’t been revealed yet. The official teaser video has also been released on YouTube and social media platforms. This means, there is no PUBG Mobile India coming up as teased by the company previously. The game, Krafton has confirmed, is developed especially for the Indian gamers out there.

-The pre-registration for Battlegrounds Mobile India will begin on the Google Play store on May 18 for Android users. There are no details on when the pre-registration for iPhone users will begin. It is likely that the game will be released for Android first followed by iOS in the days to come. Krafton also highlighted “there will be specific rewards available for fans to claim, only if they pre-register the game. These rewards would be specific to Indian players only.”

-Krafton has announced that privacy and data security will be the top priority for the company. The game developer confirmed that it will work with partners to ensure data protection and security, at each stage. “This will ensure privacy rights are respected, and all data collection and storage will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in India and for players here,” Krafton stated in an official release.

-The company has announced some restrictions for players under the age of 18 years. It has been said that under 18 years players will need to have to get consent from parents to play the game. As per the policy, players under 18 years of age will have to provide the mobile number of their parents to confirm that they are eligible to play the game.

-Krafton has announced to collaborate with partners to build an esports ecosystem while bringing in-game content regularly. The company said it will start with a series of India-specific in-game events at launch, to be announced later.

GTA 6 Might Get Announced at E3 2021

You read it right, we have a possibility that GTA 6 Might get announced at E3 2021 and Grand Theft Auto community is going crazy over this!

Some Grand Theft Auto fans think Rockstar Games is going to announce and reveal GTA 6 at E3 2021 based on a new tweet from the official E3 Twitter account. According to a plethora of rumors, reports, and leaks from both credible and non-credible sources, GTA 6 is currently in development at Rockstar, because of course, it is. Rockstar Games can and will continue to milk GTA 5, but naturally, the second best-selling game of all time will get a follow-up. The pertinent question has always been not if, but when GTA 6 will release.

According to the most credible sources to speak about the unannounced game, GTA 6 is still years away, which means a reveal is not imminent. However, despite the evidence suggesting a GTA 6 reveal is still a ways off, some Grand Theft Auto fans currently think a reveal/announcement is imminent due to the aforementioned tweet.

Over on Twitter, "GTA 6 News & Leaks" asked the official E3 Twitter account if fans can expect a GTA 6 announcement at E3 this June. Replying to this, the show's Twitter account replied with a GIF of Sitch from Lilo & Stitch getting his head patted. That's it.

For some, this is evidence that GTA 6 is going to be revealed at E3 2021, but obviously, this is a huge stretch. Not only does the reply not indicate this, but all of the aforementioned rumors and reports indicate the game is still -- at least -- a couple of years away from being revealed. That said, here are some more wrenches for the theory.

For one, Rockstar Games hasn't had a presence at E3 in years. Further, while GTA 5 did rear its head at E3 back in 2013, it was already announced.

Two, Rockstar Games is not going to reveal or talk about GTA 6 before it releases the "expanded and enhanced" version of GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X. If you want people to buy a "next-gen" version of GTA 5, you don't announce and reveal GTA 6 beforehand.

It's reasonable to expect the game to be revealed this year given that three years separated the release and reveal of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. This October, it will be three years since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. So, could GTA 6 be revealed this year? Sure, if history is any indication, it can be. However, don't expect it to be an indication this time, and especially don't expect the game to be revealed at E3 2021. There's as good of a chance that GTA 7 will be revealed at E3 as there is GTA 6 being revealed at the summer show.

Nintendo Switch Pro Price to Be $100 More Expensive Than Existing Switch

A new and improved Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Pro as it's unofficially called has a release date slated for the end of 2021. And what's more is, specifications will include an OLED display, Nvidia DLSS (short for Deep Learning Super Sampling) that uses AI to deliver high-quality visuals, as well as an improved CPU and more memory. All of these upgrades mean that the Nintendo Switch Pro price will be substantially more as well.

According to a report from Bloomberg, the Nintendo Switch Pro will support DLSS in order to "reproduce games at 4K quality when plugged into a TV" citing sources that asked not to be identified. In addition to this, there will be increased memory and an enhanced CPU. Though this also means that existing games will need to be updated to support these features claim multiple developers speaking to Bloomberg. DLSS has been exclusive to Nvidia GPUs since its launch in 2018, if accurate it would mean the next Nintendo Switch may have more in common with gaming PCs than usually expected from the company's hardware.

All of this will come at a cost, quite literally. According to analysts, the Nintendo Switch Pro will likely be available at $399 (around Rs. 29,000), a $100 increase on the existing Nintendo Switch.

"$349.99 will increase the value proposition of the device, but I still think Nintendo can drive strong demand even at $399.99," said Bloomberg Intelligence's Matthew Kanterman.

PS4 Clock Battery Death Will Kill Your Ability to Play Games

"If your PS4 clock battery dies, all your games die."

If your PS4 clock battery dies, you will lose your ability to play games on it. Regardless of them being digital files or discs, your PS4 won’t be able to run them. This is according to trusted hacker Lance McDonald this is because trophies on the PS4 need the console’s internal clock to work correctly so as to prevent users to change the date and time values and exploit the PS4’s trophy system.

His tweet regarding this was in response to Does It Play — an account dedicated to video game preservation. The account stated that when “ the PS4 CMOS battery dies (and it will) it renders all PS4 digital files unusable without a server reconnection and in PS4 it also kills disc playback.”

Although it’s relatively easy to replace the CMOS when Sony decides to take down its PS4 servers reactivating your PS4 to play games still poses a massive challenge.

“CMOS can only have its time fixed by PSN or hacks,” says Does It Play to IGN India. “The fact it kills discs is lunacy.”

We’ve reached out to Sony for comment and will update this story if we hear from the company.

These findings are crucial as they come at a time when Sony’s policies regarding video game preservation are under fire. They follow a report from TheGamer that stated the PS3, PSP, and PS Vita storefronts would be permanently shuttered. While this means that players on the three systems won’t be able to purchase new games, apps, or DLC on the PS Store, they will still be able to download content they had already purchased before.

All of this has the gaming community wondering what to expect from when Sony eventually shuts down the PS4’s digital dependencies. And if McDonald is correct, Sony’s decisions may result in over 100 million consoles serving as e-waste.

Previously IGN India reported that several PS4 variants were discontinued in markets like Japan. The console’s end-of-life status it seems, won’t impact India for now. Rather, it’s seen a price hike in India and ready availability in lieu of the PS5.
